Staff Biographies
Melvin Wilson
As Manager of the Office of Workforce Development
and Training, Mr. Wilson is responsible for analyzing the
professional training and continuing education needs of NASW
members and other credentialed social workers across the
nation. During the course of his career, Mr. Wilson has held
management positions with government and private sector organizations
that serve the mentally ill, incarcerated youth and adults,
persons living with HIV/AIDS, low-income families, adolescents
and other similar service delivery areas. Mr. Wilson has
extensive knowledge of (and experience with) the health/behavior
health service delivery systems, criminal justice service
delivery, organization structure and management, proposal
writing; budget and fiscal management and the development
of program policies and procedures. In addition, he has had
hands on experience as a mental health clinician and direct
service provider. Mr. Wilson is currently a Licensed Clinical
Social Worker in the states of Maryland and Virginia. |
